Return & Replacement Policy

1. Eligibility for Return / Replacement

At Ujjal Sahitya Mondir, we take utmost care in delivering high-quality books. However, if you receive a product that is damaged, defective, or incorrect, you may request a return or replacement under the following conditions:

  • The request must be raised within 3 days of delivery
  • The product must be in its original condition with packaging intact
  • Photo proof of damage/defect is mandatory for verification

If the outer packaging appears visibly damaged or tampered with at the time of delivery, we strongly recommend refusing the package and informing us immediately.

2. Replacement Policy (Preferred Resolution)

We primarily offer replacement instead of refund to ensure you receive the correct and undamaged product.

  • Once your request is approved, a replacement book will be shipped at no additional cost
  • The replacement will be processed within 3–5 working days after approval
  • Customers may be asked to return the damaged product (if required)

3. Refund Policy

Refunds are only issued in cases where:

  • Replacement is not possible, OR
  • The product is out of stock

Refund method:

  • Online Payments: Refunded to original payment method
  • Cash on Delivery (COD): Refund processed via bank transfer or store credit (as applicable)

Refunds are typically processed within 5–7 business days after approval.

4. Non-Returnable Conditions

Returns or replacements will not be accepted in the following cases:

  • Request made after the allowed return window
  • Product used, damaged by customer, or without original packaging
  • Minor variations in print, color, or design that do not affect readability

5. How to Request a Return / Replacement

To initiate a request:

  1. Go to My Account → Orders on our website
  2. Select the relevant order
  3. Click on “Request Return / Replace”
  4. Provide reason and upload image proof

Our team will review and respond within 24–48 hours
